To Inspire Movement and Encourage Growth

Monkey Business Parkour Toledo

What To expect in

a Parkour, Freerunning, and Tricking gym. Doing something for the first time can be intimidating for both the athlete and or any parents involved. We strive for safety in everything we do, with mats and progressions to help build up to bigger skills. Everyone is different in their movement and creative skill sets so we want to help you or your student find theirs. We structure our classes 90 minutes (60 pre-school) for exploration, stretching, conditioning, repetition and adaptation, team/self building challenges, as well as games to advance our skills. Not register yet? Come 10 minutes before class and we'll get you or your student where they want to be.

Monkey Business Goals

Inspiring movement and encouraging growth through the Parkour, Freerunning, and Tricking art, sport, and movement community. Our goal is to help grow the sport professionally and recreationally, through competitions, classes, jams, and community bonding activities. Movement can be one of the best activities for people looking to competitively level up their skills, finding idol hands something productive to do, giving people who struggle to cope with addiction a physical outlet, and helping people find friends in a community of like-minded individuals. Random but important, In 1970 Canadian psychologist Bruce K. Alexander did an experiment we know as Rat Park. As the experiment started he got he had two different groups of rats: he gave the one group food, water, and drugs, and nothing but their small cage and every rat eventually ended up killing itself from the drugs and boredom: While the second group was given the option for the drugs but they were also given a rat park, where they could play, mate with other rats, and just move, this group had none of the rats died from the drugs because they had other things they would rather do. Why is this important? Because some people just need a bigger cage and something to do to keep them from being mentally and physically trapped or damaged by themselves.
